LIVERPOOL, ENGLAND, July 24, 2010 /Law and Legal PR News/ -- Paul Rooney Solicitors, compensation claims specialists, is pleased to announce that it has secured a year-long sponsorship deal with Liverpool-based boxer Paul Smith.
The current UK Super Middleweight Champion, Paul began his boxing career aged nine, boxing for the Rotunda amateur boxing club, and representing England in various tournaments across the globe. Hailing from a family of boxers, he and his brothers became the first group of siblings to all be victorious at the Amateur National Championships.
In 2002 Smith won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games, which attracted the attention of legendary boxing promoter Frank Warren. Smith then turned professional and, under the guidance of Warren, has won all but one of his 30 professional bouts; 15 of his victories coming via a knockout.
All of Smith's future fights will take place at the Echo Arena on the King's Dock in Liverpool, and Paul Rooney Solicitors will be supporting 27-year-old Smith as he bids to become the World Super Middleweight champion with his title fight later this year.
The fight is set to be screened around the world, and is already expected to attract at least ten million viewers in the UK alone.
