David Steiger, the author of best selling ABA published book The Globalized Lawyer will be speaking at an international arbitration forum event co-sponsored by the USCIB and Los Angeles County Bar hosted, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & amp,Flom LLP.
LOS ANGELES, CA, July 22, 2010 /Law and Legal PR News/ -- David Steiger, the best selling author of the ABA published book, The Globalized Lawyer, will be speaking at an international arbitration forum event co-sponsored by the USCIB and Los Angeles County Bar Association and hosted by Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & FlomLLP. The talk entitled Google, China, Political Risk and You: Playing by the Rules or Making Them Up as You Go Along will take place on Friday, July 16, at 12:00 pm in the Skadden offices located in Los Angeles. David will examine: the different types of political risk; identifying existential "deal breaking" risks as part of strategic planning; how to measure political risk in a given marketplace or venue as part of due diligence; strategies for laying off political risk in the negotiating process; and Implementing transactions with an eye towards dealing with political risks that develop after market entry. This timely presentation will be moderated by David M. Hickey, the CEO of American Discovery.
